The Jackalope 600

This 600km one day event for experienced riders will be held saturday August 18 2012 in the Outaouais region covering portions of the Papineau-Labelle Reserve and the Pontiac Zec and a 400km loop for novices.

This Adventure demands endurance to maintain a steady spirited pace over long distances while respecting the local bylaws, the environment and other users of those roads and trails.

Teams of two or more riders are highly recommended and need to be drafted prior to the event. Single entries will be accepted. Start times are at intervals of a few minutes of each other and several checkpoints are scheduled along the course. A team of experienced sweepers will be closing the circuit.  Anywhere in between, you're on your owm. You and your team make one. 

 Riders and their bikes need to be on site the friday afternoon or saturday very early morning for the mechanical inspection at La Pourvoirie Rivière La Lièvre. Bikes that do not pass srcutineering are not accepted at the start line.

According to Ridaventures scale of difficulty, this course is considered to be a 1 to 3 level and 4 in case of heavy rain.

Accomodations

Once your registration duely completed/sent/confirmed, you must contact La Pourvoirie Rivière La Lièvre  and make your reservation for the ''Jackalope package'' with Marie-Pier.

Included is:

- Friday/saturday cabin (multiple beds)

- Traditional breakfast saturday morning and/or Continental

- Saturday night's supper '' Table d'hôte '' ( min. 3 choices)

- Parking for trucks/trailers

- Access to the Bar '' Bistro dela Pourvoirie ''

-Terrasse with view on the river

Cost for the package is 100.00 $ CAN + taxs

* Linens non-included, you must bring your own sleeping bags, towels etc.

* In the event that all cabins are taken, 2 camper site are available at the cost of $ 75,00 CAN + tax, to be confirmed with Marie-Pier at  La Pourvoirie Rivière La Lièvre upon reservation.

* For all regional participants not wishing to stay the night but would like to dine before departure, supper is set at $25,00 CAN + tax payable at the Bistro de La Pourvoirie Rivière La Lièvre.
